International festival of music for
choirs and orchestras in Cracow (Poland)
CRAKOW
– one of the world’s twelve most important cities
The both past and present secret capital
city of Poland is one of Europe’s last undiscovered travel destinations.
It was here that His Holiness Pope John Paul II worked for twelve years
as a bishop. The centre point of the old city is the Rynek (main market
square), one of the biggest and most beautiful market squares in Europe.
The market square is shared by the cloth halls and the Gothic St. Mary
basilica. At the southern edge of the old city the Wawelberg stands,
with its famous royal castle. In 2000, Crakow was the European Capital
of Culture. These fascinating surroundings offer amateur choirs and
orchestras the ideal opportunity to experience an unforgettable event
here.
